In a small saucepan combine raspberries, sugar and water. Bring to a boil over medium/high heat. Reduce the heat to low and simmer until the sugar has dissolved and the raspberries have softened, about 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and add a splash of vanilla extract.
Add 1 1/2 cups of raspberries to the syrup and puree either using an immersion blender or a regular blender until smooth. Strain the mixture to remove the raspberry seeds. Discard the seeds. You should now have a nice, sweet raspberry puree.
To a half gallon mason jar, or a large glass container - Add the raspberry puree, freshly squeezed lime juice, and cold water. Seal the mason jar and shake until fully combined. If you're using an open container, stir that jammy - Don't shake. Otherwise it will end up on that pretty summer tank top.
Taste and adjust the sweetness as desired.
Add ice to an 8 oz glass. Add limeade till the glass is filled halfway, then top with seltzer. Or vodka. Or both. Whatever floats your boat.
