Frozen treats….
That’s what we’re talking about today. Are you hot? I’m hot. Not “look at this hot chick” hot, but hot like someone needs to shoot me with a super soaker hot.
I am damn near melting. Let’s cool down some. I’ve got frozen treats for you today.
Do you like sherbet? I heart sherbet. Why? Because sherbet has the fruity depth of sorbet with the creaminess of ice cream. You don’t even have to make custard. It’s a meet-me-in-the-middle type of relationship. That’s the relationship we all yearn for. That’s the relationship your hips yearn for too.
Here’s three…
Strawberry sherbet. Creamy, fruity, lovely…
Blueberry sherbet. Sweetened with agave nectar.
Orange sherbet. Reminiscent of a creamsicle.
Let’s say it’s Saturday and you have nothing to do. Let’s say you’d like a challenge, because that is what you’re all about… Challenges.
These homemade Klondike bars took one month and 4 tries. I persevered, and due to my perseverance, my tenacity, my kung fu grip att-i-tude, you no longer have to trek to the supermarket for a box of these square frozen deals. Don’t thank me, just make these. They’re totally worth the effort.
Are you Latina? Do you yearn for a taste of the holidays, but without all the Christmas decorations, the stressful holiday shopping and all the peppermint this or that?
Do you miss drinking coquito while listening to the holiday oldies?
I’m giving you Christmas… In August! Back in January I took coquito, the latin eggnog drink and turned it into coquito, the latin eggnogg ice cream. And in July, I competed in my very first Takedown and was awarded for my efforts. I was…. This jammy came in third place. So what’s not to dig? It’s a drink… There’s rum… It’s ice cream… It came in third place… You don’t even have to be Latina to heart this. Feliz Navidad.
You’re not about the churning? I dig that. Buy yourself a pint of vanilla ice cream and make this roasted banana ice cream float. Yea, that’s a caramelized pecan topping… There aren’t enough adjectives to describe this… I won’t even try.
So um.. That’s that…
Love,
Me…
