Boozy Drinks

Pineapple Orange Sangria

Today I’m like, “Ugh – Mondays!”

Sure the weather is relatively warm.

Of course after work I’m going to dance my ass off in salsa class.

Without a doubt my offspring will trip all over themselves to hug me when I pass my threshold. The dog will try to get his licks in.

But right now I’m all like, “Ugh – Mondays – I need a drink to deal!”

Why are Mondays so damn, ‘UGH!”

UGH!

Let’s not even talk about it. I’m changing the subject. Please allow me to steer you towards a pineapple orange sangria.

What? Pineapple orange sangria, you say?

Listen, I know pineapple and orange is a summer combo. I am fully aware trees are approaching winter nekkidness. I know we are no longer wearing tank tops and wedges.

I know… I get it.

But wasn’t this summer fun, though? Don’t you want to relive those wonderful summer months? With booze? You got your booze on this summer right?

Right?!

That’s what I’m talkin’ about…

Mondays are hard, and I tend to avoid “hard”. It’s my new thang, thang.

Avoid “hard” with me. Allow me to steer towards the path of sangria.

*Cue the summer jam*

This jammy right here is a breeze to make. No super long list of ingredients.

There is a super minimal amount of fruit slice and chops. Super simple. And dude, there’s booooooze! On a Monday! This is like your own personal happy hour where you don’t have to fight for a bar stool, or split the check with co-workers you only slightly tolerate.

This is muy importante here. Get with the programs.

Find 15 spare minutes next Monday morning to make sangria. Skip your workout, whatever. OK, don’t skip your workout, that’s foul.

Wake up 15 minutes early and get your sangria on. Let it sit in the fridge while you work hard for the moneys. Come home, put your feet up… Sip.

That’s that new feel.

Mondays will take on whole new meaning.

Love,

Me…
